Dear Parents/Carers,
I would like to welcome you to our school website which I hope you will find informative. As you browse through these pages you will get a sense of the life of our school and an understanding of our procedures.
It is my privilege and pleasure to be working with the children and families of St. Mary’s on the Hill Primary School, which is a school that has a warm, caring and happy atmosphere. As a whole school community, we share one common goal – to do the best for all the children in our care.
There is a distinctive ethos in our school where our staff, parents and parish enjoy a strong partnership which keeps the child at the centre of everything we do.
I am confident with the strong relationships we enjoy throughout our school community, we will achieve the vision for our pupils that they will reach their full potential. We work hard to create a safe and secure environment and through our emphasis on strong pastoral care, our motto is realised
“Learn to Love, Love to Learn.”
Yours Faithfully,
Matthew O’Brien, Principal
The children are welcoming, considerate and respectful to one another and to adults. There is a notable maturity in the children’s attitude to learning and they exemplify very well the aspiration behind the school’s motto:
‘Learn to Love, Love to Learn.’
